These images were captured while I was leading my yearly travel and photographic workshops in Viet Nam. The images are of Viet Nam from North to Central to South, from the mountains to the ocean, from the highlands to the valleys. In the North, the images are of Old Town Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Sapa, Ha Long Bay. In Central Viet Nam, the images are of the Imperial Citadel of Hue and of Old Town Hoi An. In the South, the images are of the seaside towns of Mui Ne and Ke Ga. Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh, Sapa, Hue, Hoi An are UNESCO World Heritage sites in Viet Nam. There are 52 ethnic minority groups in Viet Nam. The ethnic groups in these images are the Red Dao, the Flower Hmong, the Black Hmong and the Tay. My intention is to capture the beautiful, rugged landscapes and the essence of the ancient culture of Viet Nam.
